Sivananda Rehabilitation Home (SRH) is the foundation from which Sivananda’s integrated campus of care was built. Established in 1958 in Hyderabad, India, SRH was the first organization created to serve destitute adults and children affected by leprosy. As patient needs grew, a hospital was developed on the same campus to expand access to medical care, followed by the establishment of the Kumudini Devi College and School of Nursing to train skilled healthcare professionals who would sustain and strengthen this work for future generations.
Sivananda Rehabilitation Home provides comprehensive medical care, rehabilitation, and long-term support for patients facing life-threatening and highly stigmatized diseases. Founded to serve individuals affected by leprosy, SRH has evolved to address a broader range of serious illnesses, including tuberculosis and other chronic conditions. Through integrated treatment, rehabilitation services, and social support, SRH restores health, dignity, and independence to vulnerable adults and children who would otherwise have little or no access to care.
Since 2002, Ramdev Rao Hospital has delivered affordable, high-quality healthcare to thousands of patients who would otherwise lack access to essential medical services. Each year, the 200-bed hospital provides 24/7 emergency and surgical care, advanced diagnostics, and comprehensive inpatient and outpatient treatment—helping patients recover from trauma, manage chronic conditions, and safely deliver healthy babies. Through modern operating theaters, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and an in-house Diabetes Research Center, the hospital improves health outcomes, shortens recovery times, and restores dignity and hope to individuals and families across the region.
Kumudini Devi College and School of Nursing is committed to preparing the next generation of nurses through a rigorous, student-centered educational experience. By fostering self-directed learning and lifelong professional development, the program equips graduates with the skills, compassion, and clinical excellence needed to serve as vital members of the healthcare system. In doing so, the school directly addresses the critical nursing shortage while strengthening the quality and sustainability of care for the surrounding communities.
